Some questions for you, if you don't mind.
1) Is it better to do cardio before or after weights?
2) Also, I walk at a moderate pace on a treadmill (2.8 mi/hr.) for 35 min at an elevation of 7 or 8. I've heard some say you can do less (say 20 minutes) by increasing the speed/elevation for a couple of minutes, slowing down again, speeding up and elevating again. If the latter is better, what would be a good regimen (how fast, how elevated, and for how long)?
3) I have usually worked out 4-5 days/week via: a) chest and tris; b)back and bis; c)shoulders and legs. I've heard of some working out just one body part per workout. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
4) I'm a chocaholic and find protein bars that claim to taste like candy bars actually taste more like cardboard (and have a bitter aftertaste). Are there any good-tasting ones out there?

Hi Kian! Nice site very informative! I am kind a new again to this body building thing. The reason why I said this is that, I used to do it 6 years ago but I stopped because I need to work overseas. I am now 38 and I really wanted to improve my muscles fast. So my question is, is it safe to take steriods? I know I may sound desperate but I feel like I really need to look good before I reach the age of 40. Plus, what's the best exercise for Abs and how long does it usually take to achieve great abs?

Hi Kian. Like the site but what's the story with all the protein stuff being US based? They don't have that in my local health food store. Can you recommend any stuff I could get in my local Decathlon. Are you a fan of the Maximuscle Promax stuff? Is it any good I wonder? Cheers mate.

Hey Kian, really good site and especially wonderful considering you are a private individual, not some flippin' supplement company or magazine. I was wondering if you can help, I am 20yrs old and am seriously considering doing some bodybuilding. The thing is I am about 12 stone and most of that is fat, I'm 5ft 10 ins tall and am in reasonably good health, but I would like to loose fat as I gain muscle and I am thinking there is no real way to do this simultaneously.... can you tell me if this is true and if so would it be best to loose the fat first or try and gain some muscle and then loose the fat?? :( Thanx for takin' the time [color=yellow]Johnno[/color]

Great website Kian. :up: Good of you to share your bodybuilding experience with other folks. I've been seriously working out at the gym for about a year and a half now, but progress is slow. I guess that can't be helped because of my spinal condition (scoliosis) and I've got to really careful with my posture and poundage. Anyway, have a fab 2005, and if you have any sizzling training tips, do keep me in the loop. Cheers.

My own motivation is loving to lift. Trouble with that was not resting my muscles-I just kept poundin em without letting them heal and grow. Since improving on that aspect my muscle growth was great.

Thanks for inviting me to visit your site. It looks great, and you seem to be including the proper types of links. I have a suggestion for your Training section. As somebody who struggles with finding the time and inspiration to really push myself, I would appreciate seeing your workout journal, or photos that document your progress. Sometimes before-and-after photos are good to track development, especially if you have a muscle group that responds either slowly or quickly. Regardless, keep up the great work! :up:
